Happy Birthday wishes

My good friend, Bea, celebrated her 89th birthday yesterday. I made this card for her because she still wrestles with hay bales in order to feed her beloved pony, Tonka. The image is from doodle pantry, a site that was responsible for getting me hooked on digital art.

VitaminMe

On Sundays I like to take some VitaminMe, a phrase created by Marcella of powerpoppy.com. This image by Power Poppy is called Gifts from the Sea, and I am entering it in their challenge, “It’s Your Birthday.” My birthday is in May and since I live in Florida, I thought it would be appropriate.

Clouds in the sky

Stencils are not high on my priority list, that is until I bought the cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. I use chalk to make my clouds because it is so forgiving.  The stamp is from Stampin Up.

Monkeying around!

Initially I made this card for the Stella Says Sketch challenge at bugaboostamps.com. The monkeys were a feeebie from Bugaboo a few weeks ago.  It’s kind of fun and challenging to create a card using a suggested sketch.

Are you seeing spots before your eyes?

The challenge for the sweetstampingchallengeblog.blogspot.com is to make a card which includes spots. Aha. I had finally started working on my Christmas cards using the image called Wreath - Birch and Evergreens.” from power poppy.com. It doesn’t include a lot of coloring which really helps me to accomplish my goal of making 50 cards.

I made this birthday card for my pastor’s sweet wife. It is a powerpoppy.com stamp colored as usual with My Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils.
