Inspired by Fabric

Allison Cope of the Powerpoppy Bloom Brigade presented a challenge of making a card using fabrics as a guide (what a clever idea). I chose Mello Yellow fat quarter bundle by SpunSugarQuilts (different shades of yellow) for the image, Everything's Rosy. As usual I colored it with my Faber Castell pencils.

Another Digital Website

This is a digital stamp I purchased sometime ago from bugaboostamps.com. Besides having cute images, they offer incentives every week. On Tuesdays they add new images which are half price for the first week, and on Fridays they have a free digital stamp. What more can I say. Oh, I know I am entering this card in a challenge. Can you tell I'm having fun!!!!

Hues to Use

Every Tuesday powerpoppy.com has a challenge in which we are to use 3 different colors on one of Marcella's beautiful creations.  I am submitting my first card this week. Yippee. I chose Dancing with Daffodills which I colored (of course) with my Faber Castell colored pencils.  I did all the shading with my pencils.

My first challenge entry from my blog

disdigistamps.com has adorable images. I've purchased several digital stamps from her. I am entering this card which I colored with my Faber Castell pencils in her challenge; the theme is spring flowers.
I really like this frame die which I bought at a garage sale. Unfortunately I do t know what company made it.

I'll be your umbrella

I got this image from sassycherylsstamps.com. One of the verses that was included in this digital set is "Ill  be your umbrella." This verse alone spoke volumes to me. When someone is going through a difficult time, I don't think anything more is needed for the inside of the card. What do you think?

This photo is another powerpoppy image. I colored it with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.

First Photos

Thanks to my friend, Yvonne's help, I figured out how to post some photos.

From rubber stamps to digital stamps

When I first started my Hobby, I used mounted rubber stamps, and then unmounted rubber stamps. And then it happened! I discovered digital stamps, and I was hooked, reasonable in price and with a couple taps, instantly available. How easy and how dangerous this was, (and continues to be.)  Lol 😂 My first digital stamp purchase, followed by many more, was a pick up truck from Doodle Pantry. Then I found out there were more digital stamp sites. My favorites right now are sassycheryl and powerpoppy, each one being wonderful in their own way, and very different I might add.

When I figure out how to post photos, you will see what I mean.
For some time I've been wanting to create a blog so that I could share my cards with other colorists, enter challenges, and get to know other bloggers.

Here's hoping that a new door has been opened to me.

Rivit

I couldn’t resist buying a digital stamp set and matching digital paper from digidoodlesstudios.com.  I smiled the whole time I was coloring...
